Before you continue, we would like to remind you that this Privacy Policy is a subset of Telkomsel's Privacy Policy (www.telkomsel.com/privacy-policy). This privacy statement explains in greater detail how we process your personal data when you use SOBI services. Please read and understand the privacy statement.

This policy was developed to respect your privacy and protect your personal data in accordance with various regulations in force in Indonesia, as well as considering the existence of data protection standards and/or frameworks in other countries that have the same level of Personal Data Protection or higher.

 

INFORMATION ABOUT A SERVICE OR A PRODUCT

SOBI is an application managed by PT Telekomunikasi Selular ("Telkomsel"), which are Services/Products in applications provided and developed by Telkomsel from time to time to be used by Partners in carrying out the distribution and sale of Telkomsel Products under the Cooperation Agreement (PKS).

 

WE COLLECT PERSONAL INFORMATION

The Personal Information we collect and how we collect it varies; we have described this in general in the Telkomsel Privacy Policy (www.telkomsel.com/privacy-policy). In addition, when you use SOBI services/products, we specifically collect your personal information, which includes:

1. Data provided by you, including the following:

1. When creating or updating SOBI account, including username, email, telephone number, address, personal photo, identity number, identity card photo, mobile device information, and so on;
2. When contacting Telkomsel, including via Customer Care;
3. When responding to a survey sent by SOBI or on its behalf;
4. When interacting with other Users via message features, community features, product discussions, reviews, ratings, and other means;
5. When you conduct payment transaction activities via the site or applications, including detailed transaction data such as bank account information, credit card information, the type, amount, and/or description of the product or service purchased, shipping address, payment channel used, transaction amount, transaction date and time, and other transaction details; and/or;
6. When using features that require access to your device.

 

2. Data recorded when you use SOBI, including but not limited to:

1. Location or approximate data such as IP address, Wi-Fi location, geo-location, and other location information;
2. Time of each of your activities, including registration activities, logins, transactions, and so on;
3. Your usage data or preferences, including your interactions in using sites or applications, saved options, and selected settings. Cookies, pixel tags, and other similar technologies that generate and maintain a unique identifier are used to collect the data.
4. Device data, such as the type of device used to access the application, including the hardware model, operating system and version, software, file name and version, language preference, unique device identifier, advertising identifier, serial number, device movement information, and/or cellular network information.
5. Log data, which includes records on servers that receive data such as device IP addresses, date and time of access, application features or pages viewed, application work processes and other system activity, browser type, and/or third-party sites or services that you use prior to interacting with Telkomsel sites or applications.
6. Files uploaded from your phone such as capture from your phone camera, including personal photo and identity card photo on registration and activation step for financial service

 

3. Information obtained from other sources, such as the following:

1. Telkomsel partners who collaborate with Telkomsel to provide SOBI services and improve your quality and experience, such as content provider partners, payment service providers, infrastructure providers, and telecommunications support services, as well as other Telkomsel business partners;
2. Marketing and sales service providers;
3. Government bodies or agencies; and
4. Other publicly accessible sources.

 

OBJECTIVE OF USING PERSONAL INFORMATION

In addition to the ones listed in the Telkomsel Privacy Policy, we also use your Personal Information for the following reasons:

1. To interact with you, uphold Know Your Customer (KYC) standards, and grant your personal access to the Platform.
2. To troubleshoot (diagnose and fix) issues relating to challenges using the Platform.
3. To periodically assess, develop, and manage the Platform's features.
4. To keep track of the processing needs to create your performance profile.
5. To plan giveaways, competitions, and award prizes as additional ways to reward your loyalty.
6. To facilitate the processing of your payment.
7. To provide promotions and advertisements as well as offers from other working parties.
8. To fulfill the requirements of statutory regulations.
9. To be connected to and kept in our data center, our affiliated businesses, and/or other parties who are covered by a data storage contract with us for a set period of time and as necessary to comply with legal requirements.

 

INFORMATION WE SHARE ABOUT PERSONS

Beyond what is stated in the Telkomsel Privacy Policy (www.telkomsel.com/privacy-policy), SOBI may share information about you with the following parties based on the legal basis for processing your Personal Data:

1. Partners with service providers, where We may share your information with businesses that perform services for us, such as those that assist us in creating and running systems for customer contact centers, performing customer service tasks, collecting customer satisfaction data, handling billing, or sending emails on our behalf. Their ability to use your information for purposes aside from giving us the Service is constrained by the terms of the contract.
2. To follow the law or aid in legal processes (like a search warrant or other court order);
3. To collaborate with our partners and Affiliated businesses to enhance your use of the Service, provided that we have a data management collaboration agreement in place and that such cooperation is only carried out for the aforementioned processing purposes or to protect your interests;
4. For the purpose of the transaction, there is a merger, sale of company assets, consolidation or restructuring, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by and/or by another company. Confidentiality agreements between us and the pertinent third parties cover these actions;
5. Additional Parties that you authorize or request. In addition to the information sharing outlined in this privacy statement, we may also share your information with third parties upon your separate consent or request;
6. Links to Additional Websites, Hardware, Software, and Features. We encourage you to review any privacy notices or policies that other websites, devices, applications, and features may have as they may operate independently of us and may be linked through the Services. We are not liable for the content, use, or privacy practices of any connected website, device, application, or other feature as long as it is not under our ownership or control;
7. To carry out the tasks listed in the section titled "The Goals of Data Collection and Processing.

 

DATA STORAGE

1. When you use and/or register for SOBI services and/or products, we will begin keeping your personal information on file. Your personal information will be kept on file as long as you continue to use SOBI services and products and for the amount of time allowed by applicable laws and regulation.
2. When you delete your account, SOBI will delete your personal information except for username. Username from deleted account will not be able to be used for new account.

 

ACCOUNT DELETION

SOBI Aja! facilitates users to do self-deletion for their account. If you want to stop using SOBI Aja! services and delete your account, you can access it on profile section and choose delete account. Deletion process of SOBI account will be linked to deletion of SOBI’s payment partners account that you can do separately outside of SOBI Aja! app

 

RIGHTS POLICY

According to the Laws and Regulations, you have specific rights that are generally outlined in the Telkomsel Privacy Policy (www.telkomsel.com/privacy-policy). Please take some time to read and consider the privacy statement.

 

ACCEPTANCE AND CONSENT

1. You guarantee that all information provided in writing or on other forms to use this SOBI Product/Service is authentically yours and has not been obtained from personal information belonging to a third party without proper authorization. As a result, you are fully responsible for any issues relating to the provision and accuracy of the information.
2. You acknowledge that you have read, comprehend, and agree to all terms of this Privacy Policy by accepting it. You specifically agree and grant us permission to collect, process, analyze, store, disclose, correct, and delete your personal data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
3. Permission for the processing of your personal data must be obtained from your parents (father or mother) or your guardian in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations if you are under the legal minimum age requirement, a child, or a person with a disability, as defined by the provisions of the applicable laws and regulations.
4. Permission for access your contact list from your device to using the data in order to simplify transaction journey.

 

UPDATES TO PRIVACY POLICIES
